We are located in an actual Hawaiian rainforest. You can expect a somewhat bumpy drive on the unpaved gravel roads, no streetlights or sidewalks, and there is not a convenience store next door. Please read our "policies and procedures" before your visit.

You will need to prepare yourself for a "rainforest adventure" by avoiding sweets and alcoholic beverages before your arrival. Insect repellent might be a good idea, and earplugs if you don't like the sound of nighttime critters or the rain. And bring a flashlight, it gets dark at night.

The upstairs garden room is small and comfortable. There is a king sized bed and all the linens are provided. This unit is upstairs and there is covered parking at the foot of the stairs. It is perfect for one or two people. The cost for the upstairs garden room is $129.00 per night based on double occupancy and includes vegetarian breakfast and dinner. Cost is $89.00 per night without meals.

The garden room uses a shared outdoor bathhouse with running water, hot shower and a flush toilet. There is wireless internet available, and a access to a toaster, microwave, mini-frig and coffee-maker.

The treehouse accommodations are for adventurous (not fussy) travelers. It's a real treehouse in a real tree, in the rainforest. The accommodations include a hot outdoor shower and bathhouse with running water, about a 5-minute walk away. Parking is near the treehouse and prices for staying overnight are $119.00 based on double-occupancy, and includes vegetarian breakfast and dinner. Price is $79.00 per night without meals. You will sleep in a full-sized handcrafted ohia bed with a hand painted headboard. All linens and towels are provided. There is also a composting toilet nearby. We can provide you with a chamber pot if you don't want to walk downstairs. There is also a rustic outdoor kitchen and dining area just below the treehouse, complete with coolers, counters, double burner propane stove and screened dining area.

All accommodations require a 1-night deposit, and we request a 2-night minimum stay.

Be sure to come prepared. Bring flashlights, bug spray and plan to arrive between 3 and 6 p.m. If you are arriving late, please know that it will be challenging for you to find the property without streetlights. And the property is dark at night. 

If you are unable to keep your reservation, please give us a 24 hour notice. We will be happy to apply your deposit to a later arrival date but there are no refunds for your first night's deposit. No-shows without a call or e-mail will be charged the full rate.

All accommodations will be charged the State of Hawaii and Transient Accommodations Tax which comes to 11.16%. Please let us know when booking your reservation if you have a gift card or discount coupon.

We are only 45 minutes to the active  Kilauea volcano, 20 minutes to Pahoa and 25 minutes
to Hilo. Please note that there is often morning and evening rush-hour traffic to and from
Hilo, so be sure to allow for extra driving time during these times. Also, some of the roads to
the property are on gravel and can be rugged, so be prepared for a bumpy ride along the way. 

Currently there is a new lava flow that reaches the ocean where visitors can drive up, take a
short walk and view the event! We are a short 45 minute drive to this location, so this will be
a perfect place to stay if you are coming to see the new flow. For up to date information about

pineapple or a mango salt scrub, Hawaiian Bodywraps with tropical vanilla, seaweed, warm
